How do you plan to spend your holiday? Remember the aphorism that says, ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.’ Come on, what are you waiting for? Going on a family trip is amazing and going to wonderful places is awesome. This will give you the opportunity to tell or share beautiful stories with your friends. That way, you can make your friends visit the places on their next vacation. Lovely right?
Find time to make this vacation a remarkable one. You need beautiful memories and stories.
Here in Nigeria, there are a lot of amazing places you can visit. I will share with you at least four (4) beautiful places you can check out.
1. Erin Ijesha waterfall
This is also known as Olumirin waterfall. It is located in Ijesha, Osun State. Are you a lover of nature? You will love it. It is a seven-step waterfall. Each waterfall has a different water level. You don’t need to be a professional swimmer before you can have fun. The first two waterfalls are shallow. You can choose to stay in, have fun and take pictures. It is a way to have the best time with your family and friends. Go along with your refreshments, the environment has a pleasant outdoor space.
2. Idanre Hills
The Idanre hill is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Nigeria. It is located in Idanre town, Ondo state. You can visit there to know more if its history. Aside from the beautiful view, it has about 682 steps to reach the top with five (5) resting spots on the way. You can give it a try, it will be fun. It has cultural sites you will love to see as well.
3. Yankari National Park
Amazing family trip to a remarkable wildlife adventure. It is situated in Bauchi state. There are a lot of animals and birds to see. All of the different species. So much fun getting to see them, know their names as well. It will be fun telling your friends how the animals or birds are displayed. The ‘Wikki Camp’ is the tourist center of the park. The camp is built beside and named after the Wikki camp spring which is open for swimming 24 hours a day. A piece of advice, take along your swimming trunks. The park also has had a restaurant, bar, and conference center. The museum is also available as it displays a lot of educational and historical stories you would love to see, learn and share. 4. Olumo Rock
It is located in the city of Abeokuta, Ogun state. Stories have it that the rock served as a natural fortress during inter-tribal warfare in the 19th century. Olumo rock remains one of the beautiful tourism centers to visit in the city of Abeokuta. Some of the beautiful big and small rocks have caved in them. Man-made stairs were seen carved into the rock; a narrow space though, this is to help people get to the top and have a clearer view of the city. Along the way, you will get to see the caves, cowrie-studded statues, and the ancient abode of the priestess deity who lives in the hut created in the rock. The tourist guide will be glad to explain the historical story to you. The rock represents a natural fortress that saved a lot of people from the war. You need to see how large and tall the rock is. Get your jotter and pen with you. You will surely have many things to note down. Oh yes! The marketplace lies outside the Olumo rock premises, it displays indigenous tie-and-dye also known as “Adire” crafted by both young and old. You can patronize them and add them to your wardrobe.
